Genesis of the Gods based on Hesiod's Theogony
Hesiod's Theogony
Genesis of the Gods is based on The Theogony, by the ancient Greek poet Hesiod. "Theogony" means "theos - genesis" or "the gods' origins." It reveals the origin of the universe, hw the gods were created, their battles with the Titans, the creation of mankind and how Prometheus stole fire from heaven, and more. You've probably seen hundreds of stories about Greek gods and heroes, but the Theogony is the original, from the sixth century BC. All others are imitations. Enter the original story in Genesis of The Gods.
This is the first time the Theogony has ever been adapted into a game. If you read the Theogony you'll know it's really a love story against the backdrop of primeval conflicts, and that's what this game is all about!
The game
What if you died, and went to heaven, and found that in heaven they have even bigger problems than we have on Earth? What if you found that all the gods were real, but were dying, and when they die the human race would be destroyed? What if you discovered that the universe is rotten to the core and always has been? What would you do? What if nobody else in heaven would face the truth, and it was down to you and one friend to save everything? What would you do?
And so the game begins.

The Peri Trilogy
Genesis of the Gods is the third and final part of the Peri Trilogy: the climax. So it's fitting that it features probably the biggest story in the world: the creation of the universe!
These three stories that explain the origins of Peri, the angel who serves as your guide through Enter The Story. In Les Misérables we see the world where she was born, in The Divine Comedy we see her journey to heaven, and in Genesis of the Gods we see what she does when she gets there.
How does this compare with the game versions of Les Misérables or the Divine Comedy?
Genesis of the Gods has
* more romance
